Arrival
Arrive before warm-ups to allow your swimmer to get settled and ready. Make sure that swimmers know what events they are swimming to make the most time of their warm-ups. (Line-ups will be published on Swimtopia.)
Warm-Ups
Swimmers should be behind the blocks at their designated time for warm-ups. This is an opportunity for swimmers to get to know the pool and get themselves mental and physically ready for the meet. Warm-ups are often crowded and it is important that your swimmer be ready at their age group's assigned time.
Volunteer Check-In
Volunteers should check in with the Volunteer Coordinator and attend the volunteer meeting (typically held between 5:30 and 5:45pm)
The Meet - Start time 6:00pm
Please help your swimmer arrive to the clerk of course on time to be escorted to their events. Events are identified by an event number, description, heat number, and lane assignment. (Many swimmers write this on their arms.)
Be quiet for the start of each event and then CHEER for swimmers!
Remind you swimmer to visit with a coach after each event for feedback.
Stay for the entire meet to encourage your swimmer to cheer for their teammates and get caught up in the excitement of the relay events at the end of the meet.
After the Meet
Please stay for a few minutes at the end of the meet to help clean -up.
