8 & Under Families,

Please declare your swimmer’s availability and events for the GPSA 8&U Superhero Splashdown by Friday, July 5th at noon. We will not submit additional swimmers after this time. Coaches will enter swimmers in the events chosen by the parent in Swimtopia.

Attached is the Meet Announcement. Key points include:

When: Saturday, July 13th @ Coventry Harvest Lake Pool

Warm-ups begin at 7:30am; competition starts at 9:00am (estimated end time, noon)

Swimmers are encouraged to dress like a superhero

Fees (cash or check made payable to WPST due by July 5th):

• Swimmer Surcharge fee: $2
• Individual event fees: $2 each
• For example, my child will swim two events, I will pay $6 ($2 for her surcharge, and $2 for each of her events)

Individual Events include:

• 6&U 25M Free
• 7-8 25M Free
• 8&U 25M Breast
• 6&U 25M Free with kickboard
• 6&U 25M Back
• 7-8 25M Back
• 8&U 25M Butterfly
• Maximum 4 individual events per swimmer

Teams are limited to one relay team per relay. Relay Events include:

• Superhero Relay in Float with Coaches
• 8&U 100M Free Relay
• Dress a Coach as a Superhero Relay
• Windy Point Swim Team will pay for relay events (coaches will place swimmers in relays)

Volunteer positions will need to be filled by each team according to the number of swimmers participating. If your child is swimming, there is a strong possibility that you will need to volunteer for part of the meet.
