Week of June 16-22, 2024

Time Trials was a huge success for all swimmers! Thank you to our volunteers for running a smooth event. We had multiple team and pool records set and had 23 swimmers qualify for the GPSA City Meet in 72 events!

Donations Needed: Please consider donating canned soda or bottled water to our concessions and hospitality efforts. Please label donations “swim team” and they can be dropped off at anytime.

Donut Wednesdays are back! Head over to Meets & Events: Signup Calendar to donate.

Meet Details for This Week:

Monday 6/17: Friendly Meet vs Kiln Creek at Windy Point

Thursday 6/20: Meet vs Hidenwood at Windy Point (swimmer availability due by Monday, 6/17 at noon)

Warm up times are as follows (be at the pool 15 minutes before your warm-up time):

10 under swimmers: 4:30 warm-ups begin

11 and up: 4:45 warm-ups begin

5:45 timers, runner, and officials meet in the clubhouse

6:00 meet begins

Volunteers: Please sign in at the front desk next to your name. I will be floating around until 5:45 to get everyone situated. We are in need of 1 stroke and turn judge for Monday evening.

Concessions will be selling hot dogs, hamburgers, and all the snacks, treats, and drinks you need to make it through the evening. We accept Venmo and cash (small bills appreciated).

Swimmer entries will be on Swimtopia. We cannot make changes to the meet line up without approval from the opposing team, therefore, no changes will be made unless a swimmer must scratch due to illness. Swimmers should report to the Clerk of Course at the baby pool before their event. Immediately after their event, they should check in with a coach for feedback.

Coaches are available to swimmers during the meet. Our coaches and junior coaches will have on blue shirts.

Supporters: Please leave the turn end of the pool for our visiting teams. Cheer on all of our swimmers! Encourage your swimmer to cheer on their teammates. Although it's tempting to critique our children after a swim, the best thing to say is how much you enjoyed watching them swim and that you're proud of them. Let the coaches coach and then you get to enjoy being your swimmer's number one fan!

End of meet: Please clean up your area and help breakdown the meet. We need your help to do this quickly. Free swim will begin on the lifeguard's whistle once lane lines have been removed.
