Piranha Update 4/21/2024
April 21st
Piranha Families,
It looks like many of you are ready for summer! We already have 32 swimmers on our roster and I cannot wait to see it grow over the next month. A couple of important updates are listed below.
- Spirit Wear Orders are open until May 24th! This first round of gear will be delivered around June 7th. We are excited to offer a variety of t-shirts, tank, and hoodies featuring Emma and Conor Goff's award winning design. This round of orders will NOT feature the team roster on the back. Rostered apparel will be featured during a very short flash sale at the beginning of June. Special thanks to Renee James for once again taking care of our spirit wear needs.
- Junior Coach Applications are now open. The Windy Point Junior Swim Coach volunteer position is open to Windy Point swimmers 15-18 years of age. This position offers teens a chance to be a role model to younger swimmers while also gaining valuable coaching experience and knowledge of swim team operations. The junior coach will work directly with the head coach to provide stroke instruction while mentoring and motivating young swimmers. Applications are due by May 10th.
- Windy Point Pool Open House is scheduled for Sunday, May 5th from 2pm until 5pm. Come out to the clubhouse to pay your dues and/or registration fees, sign up for our newly revamped swim lesson program, and check out the pool renovations (from a safe distance). Board representatives will be available to answer questions about the 2024 season.
- We still need help in making this year a successful season. The team is looking for coordinators in the following area: volunteers, meet set up, and end of season banquet. Support will be offered so you are not starting from scratch. Please reach out if you are interested in supporting the team. Thank you to Ashley Bannon for stepping into the team treasurer position.
- 2024 Sponsorships will be a join effort between the swim team and pool to offer sponsors more exposure in the community. Check the pool website in the coming weeks for details.
As always, please reach out with any questions.
Go Piranhas!
